What is a Journey Process?
A Journey process is a guided introspection designed to address your specific issues, uncover the root cause of your physical condition or your emotional issue, and help you to a complete resolution. There are two different basic types of Journeys. Both will take you deep within, to a place guided by your own inner wisdom. When you have recovered the memory that is the key to your issue, you are then able to empty out all the associated emotion contained within it and open into a deep forgiveness. Once completely free from the impact of this memory, healing at a cellular level can naturally begin.
The “Emotional Journey”
The Emotional Journey uncovers the underlying layers of an emotion to find the emotional root experience of your current issue, and also to give you access to and an experience of “source”, that place deep within us that has also been called unity consciousness, or your true nature, or your divine being. For many people this journey inevitably takes them through their worst fear, the place where they have always turned around and gone back to accepting a limiting core belief about themselves. The breakthrough they experience, when they discover that source itself lays right beneath this fear, or block, the experience of knowing yourself as eternal, or unlimited, or unconditional love, or light is often tremendous. This process might well be described as a form of ‘emotional archeology’.
The “Physical Journey”
The Physical Journey is an experience similar to a guided meditation or a hypnotic journey. It uses your inner body wisdom as a vehicle to take you to the part of your body where a specific cellular memory holds the root experience still affecting you now. This is not always the same part of the body where you are challenged with discomfort of illness. Sometimes this part of the body will be described very anatomically accurate, sometimes it shows up in a metaphor, which can often take the shape of a cave. Your “Mentor”, a wise and divine being, accompanies you on this entire journey. Both Journey types can be facilitated separately or in a combination.
The “Campfire Process”
The centerpiece in either journey is the “Campfire Process”. Whatever memory you uncover, whether of a specific event, a series of events, or the emotional environment of the past, the campfire is where the younger you is invited to speak your truth to the people who have caused you pain, to really feel and to empty out all the feelings that had been held unexpressed, and sometimes even unknown inside. A guided dialogue unfolds. The mentor assists in this process by allowing you to see and understand your experience through deeper levels of wisdom. It is this new revitalizing experience of at last making yourself fully heard, seen and understood, that then allows forgiveness to flow.
Inviting true Forgiveness
Forgiveness has long been known as the supreme path to healing, the means to connecting with the transformational power of whatever name you give it: source, God, spirit, Allah, or the universe. Most people discover during the journey that forgiveness happens naturally, often quite easily, after completely emptying out at the campfire. This then is the last goal of the Journey: to experience a true and wholehearted forgiveness, the one kind that can bring forth complete healing.
Completing The Journey
Once forgiveness has been given completely and wholeheartedly (and sometimes also received), everyone leaves the campfire. In the physical journey you then have the opportunity to see how the place in your body is responding and in what way it is already looking different and starting to heal. In the emotional journey you are being led into a detailed ‘future integration’, a state in which, by being connected to your inner being, you can sense how long it will take for your emotional behavior and experience to change.
Journeys come in a great variety of length, and are entirely unpredictable. First time emotional journeys tend to be longer and last between two and even sometimes four hours. Physical journeys are usually shorter, one and a half to three hours. Once you have been through a few journey experiences, a physical journey can be as quick as a one hour deal, without loosing any of it’s potency. On the contrary, the more often you use them, even as the journeys become shorter in length, they become more profound and transformative.
How does cellular healing work?
“Brandon Bays acknowledges the work of Dr. Deepak Chopra who made a life study of successful survivors of illness. He found they had two things in common:
1. They were able to access some state of awareness beyond the mind to stimulate healing.
2. They were able to release and process memories stored at a cellular level. Cells in the body regenerate at different speeds. Eye cells take only 48 hours, whereas cells in the liver take 6 weeks to regenerate. The question is what stops these cells from renewing in a healthy way? Dr. Chopra believes that negative memories are stored in those cells where they cause degenerative disease patterns to be passed on, preventing the replication of healthy new cells.
Dr. Candace Pert went further in her book ‘Molecules of Emotion’, which describes her Nobel Prize-nominated research on how emotions affect our bodies at the cellular level. If trauma and negative emotions are not resolved, they physically embed as a cellular memory, preventing those cells from playing their part in the constant biochemical communication taking place within the body. These memories not only ‘switch off’ these cells, but lead to emotional and physical disease years after the events originally occurred. Journey processes can enable one to let go of these memories, ‘switching your cells back on’, and freeing them to again regenerate perfectly.
